EXTRA-THICK GLASS: While their unique design makes them stunningly beautiful, this set of Mexican glassware is also of the highest quality. The thick glass helps keep cold beverages cooler longer and the glasses can be used for a wide variety of drinks – from soda to alcohol to milk, tea, and much more.

QUALITY CONSTRUCTION: Made from recycled glass, these beverage glasses definitely do not feature a cheap, “cookie-cutter” design. While similar, each glass is uniquely its own with its own design imperfections. All glasses do, however, feature level bottoms, an aqua rim and similar dimensions. The thick glass can withstand extreme temperatures and makes the glasses dishwasher safe. They are also lead-free.

LARGE SIZE: Perfect for thirsty people, these Mexican drinking cups hold approximately 16 ounces of liquid. These drinking glasses are great for ensuring you and your guests get the amount of beverage you need to really quench your thirst.

Master glassblowers head up teams of 6-10 workers, each with their own role in the process. You can see the apprentices doing the basics, tending the fires, and delivering the necessary materials to each artisan.

The glassware starts off as molten glass that’s then rolled out like a cigar, the blue/green band is added, and the craftsman begins to blow and roll it to shape. From there, it is heated until it is tempered and illuminates a red hue before being placed in its mold and blown to the correct size. It’s then handed to the senior craftsman who rolls and shapes it, giving it its pour spout and adding the aqua blue handle before heading off to the oven for the final tempering.
